The Argentine countryside somewhere between Posadas and Rosario

A good way to kick off the day after the overnight bus ride from Posadas to Rosario.
Defending our burner on the stove in the busy hostel kitchen. Tomato sauce (from fresh tomatoes) is underway.
Plaza Pringles in Rosario

Monumento a la Bandera (Monument to the Flag)
Rosario is the home of the Argentine flag, hence the monument.
The Rio Paraná runs through Rosario. Despite being a few hundred miles form the coast we saw a number of ocean-going ships.
Raising of the flag happens at 8:15 each morning.

Beautiful department store along the peatonal (pedestrian mall)
…nice ceiling as well!
Breakfast at the hostel!
Enormous slice of bread pudding that I struggled to finish after two glasses of wine, bread, sauted hake and potatoes. Not bad for 6 USD, right?
Churro vendor looking for business from the Rio Paraná fishermen.
Warm churros filled with dulce de leche…I couldn’t resist.
Swimming pool on a tenth floor balcony? Doesn’t seem like a good idea to me.
View from the terrace at the hostel.
The bakery below downstairs from the hostel quickly became a favorite.
Quite possibly the most elaborate beer cap game I have ever seen. Spotted in the hostel in Rosario.
Rosario bus station at 7AM. Time for the four hour ride to Buenos Aires.
